Friday 082010 – Tabata

August 19th, 2010 by tkquinn

How do you break down?

Tabata row (Meters)
Tabata squats (Reps)
Tabata row (Meters)
Tabata push-ups (Reps)
Tabata row (Meters)

A single set of Tabata intervals implies that an athlete will work for twenty seconds, and rest for ten seconds, for a total of eight intervals. In this WOD athletes will complete 5 sets of Tabata intervals.

Just so I understand, this is a 20 min workout?

    8x :20/:10 (4 mins) – Row
    8x :20/:10 (4 mins) – Squat
    8x :20/:10 (4 mins) – Row
    8x :20/:10 (4 mins) – Push up
    8x :20/:10 (4 mins) – Row

Yeah!! 750…push-ups killed me the most, I was doing them full-plank style (not from the knees) and I could only get 4 at a time…

I like the workouts where the scoring for the row portion is sixty times as important as the scoring for everything else.
