Wednesday – 042711 – Josh, Mobility…

April 26th, 2011 by tkquinn

The other day, I asked John how the games WOD 11.5 went for him. He said "Ok, I got 9 rounds". I asked why he didn't do better, to which he responded "Well, I got called off on every other rep, I probably did 18 rounds". In this picture we see Judge Jackie laying down the iron fist of standardization. Say it with me... "NO REP!" (Sorry, John)

I give this post a NO REP!

You know, there is a lot of pressure when everyone is watching. If the wallball doesn’t hit the target I can’t help that! Also I don’t think it was every OTHER….probably ever 3rd though. :)

We are nothing with out standard!

  3. Mike J Apr 27, 2011 / 8am

Jackie is definitely a hard-ass, what was up with the hand on the bar thing?

I did workout 11.6 this morning at 6am in MPLS by myself. One is definitely the loneliest number on a workout like this, I won’t even post my score.

  4. Jackie K Apr 27, 2011 / 8am

I put the hand on the bar so I can feel the toes touch the bar.

    Ha. See…standards.

  5. Casey Apr 27, 2011 / 12pm

Mike – sorry to leave you hanging this morning … It’ll be another week or so before I can get back into a rhythm.

    Cheers-
    Casey

  6. Andrea J Apr 27, 2011 / 12pm

Celebrity coach Jackie is a hard ass and I love her.

  7. Andrea J Apr 27, 2011 / 12pm

    Correction: Celebrity judge Jackie.

    We are nothing without standard.

  8. John W Apr 27, 2011 / 12pm

I can’t stand idly by as Tyler slanders my good name like that. When he asked how the judging was I said “strict but fair.” And even if it wasn’t every 3rd rep, it sure felt like it.

    Thanks Andrea!

And John, I think this will only make friendship stronger. ;) I would like to say it hurts me as much to say no rep as it hurts you to hear no rep….but i doubt it. John is Awesome!

In my newfound status as a TCO Open judge, my guess is that Jackie would join me in saying NO REP to Charles Barkley in that video that Jon posted earlier this week. His elbows were clearly not in front of the bar on those power cleans. Then again, I’m all talk . . .

For the 3:30 class…according to Wikipedia: You have no nickname. I think that means we get to come up with one for all you Minnesotans.

  12. Busola A Apr 27, 2011 / 8pm

Inspired by the cheers of my fellow 3:30ers and the final bars of Baba O’Riley, I was so excited to have eked out this WOD Rx’d in just under 15 minutes. Then I heard Tyler tell the 4:30 class it should take between 10-12 minutes. Sigh.

Nice follow up to Charles’ workout:

Good work Jackie for ditching the band on the pullups today and congrats to jen for finding your muscle up again!

  14. Ian S Apr 27, 2011 / 10pm

    What a fun day!
I think some of my best OHS ever.
    Slow pullups……

Kudos to the mobility team at 430!

There’s your next t-shirt. “That CrossFit ain’t no joke.” – Charles Barkley

  16. Millie Apr 28, 2011 / 6am

Ian was a frog in a former life. And that’s right, we were them mobility TEAM.
