Push Press:

5-5-5

3 Cycles – up the ladder:

1/1, 2/2, 3/3, 4/4, 5/5 Reps:

Thruster (95/63)
Box Jumps (32/28)

Athletes will complete one thruster, then one box jump, then two thrusters, then two box jumps, until they have completed the ladder with five thrusters and five box jumps. At that point, a single cycle is complete and athletes will then start the cycle over at one thruster and one box jump. The workout is complete when an athlete as completed three cycles.

    WoD: 5:03 Rx
    Whew, thrusters are a bear on the lung capacity, not to mention the fatigue that sets in from the elevated box jumps. It honestly felt like someone injected cement into my quads when I was finished, I could hardly bend my legs. Shooting for under 5 mins on this WoD, but slightly over is good. This should be a very quick WoD, therefore choose a confortable height and weight for the respective movements. Great job today 630am crew!

    I’m super jazzed for today’s wOd!! I plan on taking my sweet time on this one so I don’t burn my lungs. (that’s what He said…am I right?!)

    I’ll not scale and suffer the consequences of a slow humiliating last place finish. As is my SOP. Suck it Quickness! Bears rule!

    Any sort of squatting or stair climbing hurts already. Huge 3:30 compared to normal. I counted 15.

    My rack position has really been loosening up lately. Letting the bar really rest on my shoulders is giving me a good launch pad. Pretty exciting.

    Stopped in for the 5:30pm class this afternoon. My home gym is Crossfit Des Moines, Des moines (surprise), Iowa.

    Replaced push press with 3×3 push jerk to keep in cycle with home gym.

    push jerk – 135 – 155 – 165

    WOD: 7:47
    scaled to 75 pounds for thrusters and 24″ box jump.

    Did Sunday’s WoD first, 6:30 Rx, then today’s with Tyler @ open gym, 6:22 Rx. My legs felt absolutely horrible, especially after squatting just before. Great workout.
