Monday – 052812 – Memorial Day Murph!

May 27th, 2012 by tkquinn

In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, NY, who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005. This workout was one of Mike's favorites and he'd named it 'Body Armor.' From here on it will be referred to as 'Murph' in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is. Murph (compare with 9/11/11)

For time:

Run 1 Mile
100 Pull-ups
200 Push-ups
300 Squats
Run 1 Mile

If you have a 25 lb. weight vest or body-armour, wear it.

My sincere gratitude to all the men and women in our community who serve, or who have served in our military’s armed forces. Thank you for your sacrifice.

What a great first experience at the St Paul box! Really awesome community! A special thanks to Dan for pushing me to run the entire last mile. Finish time: 55:41, scaled and survived. Woot.

Great day for the workout and it was great seeing all the new and old faces from both gyms!!! The mass gathering, with a workout or not should happen more often!!
