HS: 185-195f
WoD: 7:24 Rx @ 60#
Consulted with Andrea before the WoD and she wanted me to test the water with a 60# DB. As Rx’d, I think a 50# DB would’ve maybe knocked 15 seconds off my time, at the most. I think efficiency and technique throughout the movement is more critical than the weight in a fast WoD like today. Biggest 630am class I’ve EVER been a part of, a lot of fun this morning.
Great WOD today 10:21 Rx. Fun 11 am class. Amazing weather and got to lift with Britt L. Looking like today is a good day.
PR Snatch @ 88
Interesting study finding that cardio + strength training on the same day does not compromise the success of either:
http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/05/02/mixing-weight-training-and-aerobics/
From the article:
“In other words, ‘aerobic exercise can precede resistance exercise on the same day without compromising’ muscle building, the scientists conclude.”
HS: 165, 175(f) The pull was great; locking out the elbows was terrible….
WOD: 7:40 Rx
Snatch up to 135.
WOD in 9:07 rx. Legs still feel like lead from Sunday.
Snatch to 260#, a 10# PR
WoD: 8:30 with the 70#. Like Nick said the weight wasn’t really a factor other than by keeping good snatch form my hamstrings were torched for the last 3 runs.
snatch to 105, 7:48 rx@45#, would have tried 50# but couldn’t find any 50s
