Wednesday – 051612 – Shankle Complex…

May 15th, 2012 by tkquinn

Some movement prep before going overhead...

Shankle Complex (compare with 02/04/12)

For Load:

1 Clean DL
3 Hang Clean Pulls
1 Hang Clean
2 Push Jerks

This is to be taken the same way that the bear complex is. Rest as needed between sets (approx. 3 minutes), and plan to take roughly 7 work sets, total, when all is said and done.

Post thoughts and loads to “comments”.

    Shankle Complex: 185-195-205-225-235-245#
Not really much to say about today’s complex. Jenny PR’d @ 100# on both her C+J during the complex. Solid effort by the 630 crew!

It would have been 98# but Nick suggested I throw on those little guys to make it an even hundred. Nice suggestion, Nick!

I should probably cut back on the heavy lifting for my WODs. Every joint is starting to feel…. older….

    Complex: 155-175-185-195-205-215f

Donny Shankle is a beast and his complex will make me plenty sore tomorrow.

    135 – 185 – 225 – 265 – 295 – 315 – 325 (f) – 325 (f) – 325 (f) – 325 (f)

Failed the second jerk at 325 twice. A little hearbreaking after all that work, but technically still a C+J PR with one jerk on each.

Good luck to Deb, Tyler, Mary, Jen, Busola, Jake, and the rest of the crew down in Chicago!

185 for 7 complete cycles. This was a great WOD and can safely say I feel comfortable handling 185lb. Now, onward and upward.
