Sheila, I was thinking about your question to me about strict toes-to-bar. I learned how to do them in the early ’80s (we called them leg lifts) on a set of stall bars. I don’t know if you can find stall bars outside of old-fashioned school gyms anymore
, but a for a similar effect, a good alternative might be getting a coach or partner to put a hand on your lower back while you try a few TTBs.
